No Baby Yet

I've reached the point where I can't call anybody without them asking if I'm in labor or had the baby. Yes, Dakota was born at 37 weeks. Yes, Audrey was born at 39 weeks. Yes, I will be 39 weeks tomorrow. No, I don't think she'll come in the next few days.

Now that that's over with, here's what HAS been going on around here the past few weeks:
  • Bribing Dakota to behave and do "special" chores to earn a bike.
  • Trying to figure out how to get Audrey to listen instead of saying "no" everytime we tell her to do something. And not laughing when she misbehaves.
  • Watering our plants, and watching them grow.
  • Dying of heat.
  • Playdates.
  • Zoo visit.
  • Doctor's appointments.
  • Playing at the park.
  • A spontaneous "mini-hike"
  • Audrey's 2nd birthday party.
  • Father's Day.
  • Library visits.
  • Filling my new freezer (which deserves a post of its own) with homemade popsicles and meals.
  • Adam and the kids had a great time without me at the family reunion in CA. I went to girls camp for 2 evenings, ran errands, shopped, got my hair cut, cleaned house, made room for baby stuff, etc while they were gone. (Then wondered why I bothered cleaning before they came back).
  • Received, washed, and sorted the hand-me-downs we got back from Adam's cousin.
  • Adam saying "you got your hair cut?" while I was typing (and he was reading) this post. (Not that I expected him to notice... it was only 1.5 inches, we just thought it was funny).

On our way to and from our hike, Dakota insisted that this house was a farm (because of the bird on top). I told him farms needed bigger yards than houses, and there wasn't enough room for animals or fields, but he wasn't convinced. We agreed that maybe a dog lived there (even though "dogs are pets").

Dakota washing walls as one of his "special" chores.

I wish I could discover more of these flowers, and fewer weeds growing in our yard!
