Catch-Up

Early in December, I went to blog about November and found only a few pictures and one journal entry that read:

"Dakota just ran in the room and asked "Mom, are we going to be able to see dad today?"  Only a few more weeks until Adam is done with school FOREVER!"

I had no idea how bad December would be!  Not only was Adam finishing his last class, but he also took his masters exit exam, and had a HUGE project at work he was trying to finish up.  We rarely saw him, and although he usually balanced school, work, family, and church fairly well we were all a little edgy durning those last few stressful weeks.  Luckily he took the week between Christmas and New Years off work, and we spent a relaxing few days in California.  I think the kids saw him more that week than in all of December combined.  Last week we received his very expensive piece of paper (aka diploma) in the mail, and we now refer to him as "Master Adam."  He's promised not to continue his education.

What's next for us?  Living the same life we've been living but with a little more Dad around.  We started house hunting several months ago, and we will continue until we find a new home.  Adam will stay at the same job, but hopefully decrease his overtime and stress levels and increase his pay.  We've joined a Healthy Lifestyle Challenge that will hopefully reverse all the damage we've done to our bodies in the past month, and help our children develop good eating habits.  Most importantly, we plan on spending more time together as a family.

2011 was a great year, but I plan on slowing down and enjoying 2012 just a little more.
