| Twice last week the girls dumped out every toy we own. The first time we helped them clean up. The second time I made them clean up themselves. They were not happy. At all. The fought, they whined, and I went upstairs so I could ignore their protests. Then Bridget came up screaming like she was in pain. She was crying so hard I was afraid she couldn't breathe. She cried about her arm. I waited about 30 minutes before I called the doctor. I was pretty sure it wasn't broken, be she was obviously in a lot of pain. So instead of going to play group we headed to the doctor. The doctor couldn't tell for sure if there was a fracture, so she sent us to get x-rays. Luckily, she didn't break anything, and once the doctor confirmed that she pulled her arm and informed me it was "nurses elbow." In other words, she dislocated it. Within five minutes of the doctor's adjustment, Bridget was fine. Now we just have to be extra careful not to pull on her arms. |
