September

My handsome 1st grader.

Lucky that all she got was a burn on her neck (front and back) from some vertical blinds in the basement that I didn't realize had cords (that have since been cut off).

Aunt Lynda came to visit!  Aside from the day I spent puking and sleeping, we had a great time.
(Don't try to read into that statement... it was a stomach bug.  I am NOT pregnant).
My sassy girl who loves to draw.  With markers.

The girls love to dress up.  So I broke out the sewing machine to make a snow white dress.  It was so fast, easy, and cheap that I might honor Audrey's request for a Cinderella one.
I have a seven-year-old!  Not quite sure how I feel about that.

He requested a Ford GT cake.  So I bought a Ford GT matchbox car intending to make a figure 8 racetrack cake, but made this instead.  I made the cake and frosted it then let Dakota put on the candles, cars, and cones (candy corn).
Twice last week the girls dumped out every toy we own.  The first time we helped them clean up.  The second time I made them clean up themselves.  They were not happy.  At all.  The fought, they whined, and I went upstairs so I could ignore their protests.  Then Bridget came up screaming like she was in pain.  She was crying so hard I was afraid she couldn't breathe.  She cried about her arm.  I waited about 30 minutes before I called the doctor.  I was pretty sure it wasn't broken, be she was obviously in a lot of pain.  So instead of going to play group we headed to the doctor.  The doctor couldn't tell for sure if there was a fracture, so she sent us to get x-rays.  Luckily, she didn't break anything, and once the doctor confirmed that she pulled her arm and informed me it was "nurses elbow."  In other words, she dislocated it.  Within five minutes of the doctor's adjustment, Bridget was fine.  Now we just have to be extra careful not to pull on her arms.
