December

We had a busy December (the end of September-the end of December is always crazy for us).  We did the usual December things, but stayed home for ALL of Christmas vacation.  Luckily Lynda and Josh stayed with us for Christmas, and we spent a lot of time at Vicki's.

It's a good thing we took advantage of this storm in December, because we haven't had much (any?) snow since.
It was so deep in places that it got in my boots.  Pretty sure I counted pulling kids on the sled as my workout for the day.

I figured out a way to hang our stockings above the fireplace.  Without buying anything.  Now it's holding snowflakes.

Apparently Dakota doesn't like to get his hands dirty, but it sucked him in eventually.

Washing Dakota's sheets is always an adventure.  You never know what you're going to find in his bed.
There are always books, and usually some cars, legos, and Knex.

Don't ask me why I bought our family Monopoly for Christmas.
Dakota loves it.  I don't.

When Aunt Lynda asked, all my kids wanted for Christmas was a box.  Or in Dakota's words "It doesn't even need to be a box, you can just give us cardboard."  Despite some box finding set backs, aunt Lynda delivered.
Lynda also gave them a makedo kit to help them create.
(She spoiled them rotten with other toys too, but I didn't take pictures of them).

I couldn't resist buying this easel when it went on sale for $10.  It was worth every penny.
