Halloween Costumes

Dakota wanted to wear last year's knight costume for Halloween again this year.  I gave him a few other options, but he said he was sure he wanted to be a knight.  Until yesterday, when he randomly decided he wanted to be a clock.  (Don't ask me where he comes up with these things).  I tired to talk him out of it, but he was insistent.  So, I decided it would be easy and fast enough to help him make a clock costume.  I cut out the cardboard yesterday, and had the kids help me paint it.  Today we added the hands and finishing touches.  He was pretty excited about the costume.  Until 30 minutes before the Ward Party.  I guess I should have known that a 5-year-old boy would choose to be a knight (who fights with a sword) over a clock.  Even if the clock was 100% his idea.

At least it will make a good teaching tool.

Dakota also picked out Audrey's costume.  He talked me into buying it (for $1 at the thrift store) several months ago.
