Christmas

We went to visit my family for Christmas this year.  It was a little weird not doing Christmas ourselves, but (aside from the stomach bug) a lot of fun.  It was great spending the holiday with family, and witnessing the kids spend Christmas with their cousins for the first time.  It was nice having Adam there with us, for his first real visit in 2 years.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Laura Lee's house.  Then had a little program about Christ's birth (I was a little disappointed the kids didn't act out the nativity, but the program turned out well).  On Christmas we opened presents, went to Lance's and watched his family open presents, went to Laura Lee's, ate breakfast, and watched her family open presents, and then went back to mom's for family presents.   We ate dinner that afternoon, where we found a bag of presents (one for each grandchild) that Santa left behind.  By that time I was feeling really sick, but still assumed it was exhaustion from lack of sleep and a high-maintenence baby.  Then the stomach bug visited almost every adult in the family, and we spent 2 days being sick (once again Lynda saved the day and took care of us).  Then we came home home a day early to get ahead of a nasty storm.

(My dad is a lot more comfortable with young kids since being called to work in the Nursery at church.  I love it!)

Dakota shooting people durning the Christmas program.  Nice.
Bridget, content to be held.  (It's always nice to have help holding her all day long).
